Dear
Ryland Homeowners. Letter 2
"The General
Aluminum Corporation, an independent enginear hired by our insurance company,
and our technical personnel have met and agreed that the following course
of action will be taken:"
--Ray G. Woodruff Vice President of Operations Texas Region Ryland
Homes
This is the second letter sent to homeowners by ryland
homes. They claim that after they consulted with the window manufacturer,
General Aluminum and the independant engineering firm hired by their insurance
company, that they had agreed on the following repair detailed in this
letter. In short, they were going to remove, and reseal each pane of glass
of each window in each home.
BUT...read the following statement by the "independant
engineering firm" concerning "reglazing
of window panes":
"Reglazing of General Aluminum's
window panes requires special and unreasonable procedures, unknown by the
general public and believed to be unknown by most trained reglazing craftsmen."
