"The service they've gotten from Ryland, their "lifetime" partner in the home-owning experience, has been so odious that most -- JohnCobarruvius being a shining exception -- have simply given up and chalked theirexperience up to, well, very expensive experience."

Ryland Homes in Corona California. Here is a complete Subdivision up in arms with Ryland Homes.

Ryland Homes in South Carolina. (NO LONGER ACTIVE) "Our house was basically built in a swamp. Drainage is very poor. Termites have breached the cracked slab. Windows leak, piping has water hammer, electrical switches arc when operated, and all the drywall shows signs of differential settlement. Branches, roots, stumps, and construction debris are under, and in close proximity to the slab. There is no plywood, waferboard, or OSB above the first level of the outer walls (just vinyl siding and sheets of Tyvek insulation). Other than the above defects, the Ryland House is a nice place to call home."

THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA In The Supreme Court Paul C. Daugherty and Carol L. Daugherty, Plaintiffs, v. The Ryland Group, Inc. and Ryland Homes, Defendants.

Ryland Homes: Imposition by Design. Introduction.  This is a case study of a new residential construction by Ryland Homes.(1).  It is applicable to those with management, economics, environmental and regulation interests--or anyone considering a home where Ryland Homes is active.

A Ryland Home in League City, TX. This was a model home in 1989. It is covered in Masonite siding. (waiting contact info)

A Ryland Home in Clear Lake City (South of Houston) This home built in 1989 was built with Masonite and ABTco siding. Both look horrible.
