- Do the Problems Happen in Older Homes? -

There is some controversy about whether or not moisture-intrusion problems happen in older (10 years +) homes. EIMA claims that the lack, or perceived, lack of problems is evidence that the problems in newer homes are due to shoddy building and/or applications. We don't buy it. We think that the perceived lack of problems is because there were far fewer homes built with EIFS prior to 1990 and because relatively few of these homes have been tested.
