Masonite Hardboard Siding Settlement:
Notes: This settlement was approved on Jan 1, 1998 and is to
continue for many homes till 2008 BUT....according to the settlement "After
seven (7) years from the Settlement Date, Defendants will have the option
to terminate this agreement." So look for this settlement to be completed
by 2005. This settlement pays qualified homeowners for damaged siding.
It isn't the best settlement for the homeowners, but considering the alternatives
it is the best homeowners will get.
